PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

THE 4th ANNUAL GHOST 5K RUN & POKER WALK IS TAKING PLACE SATURDAY OCTOBER 21, 2017 ON OLD MAIN STREET IN DOWNTOWN BRADENTON. THE EVENT BENEFITS THE HEARTS AND MINDS FOUNDATION.

The 3rd Annual ‘Ghost 5K Run’ and Poker Walk is taking place October 21, 2017 on Old Main Street Bradenton and is sponsored by the Downtown Merchants Association to benefit the Robinson Hearts and Minds Foundation. This is a family oriented event featuring a 5K competitive run, a 5K chip timed run for Doggies with their owners, a one mile fitness walk, and the Children’s Monster races for children of all ages. In addition there is a Poker Walk for the 5Kers and casual walkers to attend the Main Street local taverns to obtain playing cards with the top hands winning prizes. Registration starts at 9:00 am on Old Main Street for all events. This is a fun filled Halloween oriented healthy multi event for the entire family.

The 5K (3.1 mile) run follows a route proceeding down to the riverfront walkway, then east to Riverside Drive East to Tarpon Point and back along the scenic Riverfront Park, then to Downtown Bradenton Old Main street and the finish. The 5K Doggie Run follows the competitive 5K runner event and features doggie watering holes on the way and awards to the top three doggie finishers. Both events finish on Old Main Street to great after party celebration. The one mile walk is a less challenging event and features an out back to Downtown Bradenton. Awards are for top finishers and category winners in the 5K run plus the children receive finishers medal, bib, shirt, goodie bag and trophies to the top three boys and girls in the 3-4; 5-6; 7-9; and 10 to 12 age groups.

There is an untraditional POKER WALK that begins at 5:00 p.m. and throughout the day that encourages participants to visit all participating pubs/restaurants. Participants who visit all of the locations are eligible for great prizes.

The mission of the ‘Robinson Hearts and Minds Foundation’ is to continue the work that Brent and Julia Robinson had begun to positivity impact the lives of children and high school students plus provide assistance to children with autism and their families as well as scholarships to aspiring engineers.

Robinson Hearts & Minds Donation receives donation from Michael Saunders & Company Foundation

The Robinson Hearts & Minds Board of Directors were thankful to receive a charitable donation from the Michael Saunders & Company (MSC) Foundation at the Michael Saunders & Company Bradenton location on Tuesday July 18th, 2017. The Robinson Hearts & Minds Board was presented with the MSC Foundation donation check in front of their entire office. This donation will be earmarked for the Manatee Hope charity and our continuing effort to work with this wonderful organization. In accepting the donation, Robinson Hearts & Minds Foundation Director Mike LaValliere thanked the MSC Foundation for their generosity and support as the group continues to work to provide assistance with local charities.
